Applicability of the Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts concluded through the “Scripova” online store. By placing an order, the customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

Subject Matter of the Contract:

The online store offers exclusively e-books for sale. These e-books are provided electronically and are available immediately upon full payment by the customer. Use of the purchased e-books is permitted solely for the buyer’s private and personal use. Any transfer, distribution, reproduction, or commercial use of the e-books by the buyer or by third parties is prohibited. Violations may result in claims for damages and further legal action.

E-Book Updates:

After purchasing an e-book, the customer receives free updates for a period of two years from the date of purchase. An update consists exclusively of content additions or updates to the respective purchased e-book. All updates are communicated through our newsletter. Upon announcement, customers may request the updated version by contacting us directly via our official email address. The customer is responsible for ensuring that the provided email address remains active for the entire duration of the update period.

Exclusion of the Right of Withdrawal under the FAGG:

The customer acknowledges that, pursuant to Section 18(1)(11) of the FAGG, there is no right of withdrawal in the case of the delivery of digital content that is not supplied on a physical data carrier, such as e-books, and the contract has already been fully performed after the customer has expressly agreed that performance of the contract may begin before the expiration of the withdrawal period and has simultaneously acknowledged that this consent results in the loss of their right of withdrawal.

The content of the e-books offered in the online store is provided solely for general informational purposes. Liability claims against the seller arising from the use or non-use of the information are excluded, unless there is provable intentional or grossly negligent fault.

The “Scripova” online store processes customers’ personal data exclusively in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG). For further details, please refer to our Privacy Policy, which is available online.

Place of Jurisdiction and Governing Law:

Austrian law applies to all disputes arising from this contract, excluding conflict-of-laws provisions. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is the competent court at the registered office of the company “Scripova” unless mandatory statutory provisions preclude this. The application of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is expressly excluded. 

Severability Clause

Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be or become invalid in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a provision that most closely approximates the original intent of the provision.
